I thought it'd be interesting to create a scene of our hero character within his own prison. His life revolves around this hospital and although his job is saving lives, it's ruining his. I wanted to create a way to represent that with existing elements of the hospital to tie it to reality, but framed in a way that stood for something else. When I saw the wired glass in a few scenes, I thought that'd be a great representation of a jail cell or padded room for him, creating a feeling of being trapped.
